A SIMPLE IDEA
What is a Workflow Mode?
A Mode is a workflow you keep ready for a specific situation. The workflow still contains its trigger, schedule, conditions and actions. Adding it to favorites simply places its active or paused control where you can reach it immediately.
Create it once
Build the complete workflow with the exact events, conditions, schedule and actions you need.
→Make it a favorite
Favorite workflows appear as quick controls in the SMSMobileAPI mobile app.
→Use it as a Mode
Switch the workflow on when the situation begins and pause it when you no longer need it.
MOBILE + DASHBOARD
One workflow. Two places to control it.
The mobile app and dashboard control the same workflow. An activation made on one side is reflected on the other, so your automation never has two conflicting states.
From the mobile app
Open SMSMobileAPI and find favorite workflows directly on the home screen. See whether each Mode is active, then change its state in one tap.
From the dashboard
Review the complete workflow, edit its logic, inspect executions and activate or pause it from your browser.
iActive means the workflow listens for new matching events. Paused keeps the complete configuration ready without reacting.
MODES FOR REAL LIFE
Create Modes around the way you actually live and work.
These examples are starting points. A Mode can use any supported event, condition, schedule and action, so you can create your own around your role, family, team or business.
Car Mode
A missed customer call can receive a reassuring SMS while an urgent message can notify you safely.
Focus Mode
Let routine events wait while urgent keywords or selected contacts still reach you.
Family Mode
Pause non-essential professional reactions and keep only the personal alerts you choose.
On-call Mode
Route urgent messages and missed calls to the person responsible during a defined period.
Store Open Mode
Automatically acknowledge missed calls, answer common questions and notify the available team.
VIP Customer Mode
Escalate calls or messages from selected contacts and trigger a faster, personalized response.
ONE SWITCH, VISIBLE BENEFITS
A small switch can improve an entire day.
Modes remove repeated setup and put powerful automation behind a decision anyone understands: should this behavior be active right now?
Productivity
Stop repeating manual replies, transfers and notifications. The active Mode handles them consistently.
Reactivity
Turn the right workflow on as soon as your context changes—before an important event is missed.
Peace of mind
Pause work-related reactions when you are unavailable while keeping essential alerts active.
Operational clarity
Every person can see which Mode is active instead of guessing which automation may react.
A DAY IN MODES
Your automations can follow the rhythm of your day.
Schedules can handle predictable periods automatically. Modes add immediate human control for changes that are difficult to plan in advance.
Store Open Mode
Customer communication workflows are ready before the first call.
Focus Mode
Only urgent keywords and VIP contacts interrupt concentrated work.
Car Mode
Missed callers receive a response while you travel safely.
Family Mode
Professional automations pause and only essential personal alerts remain.
THE COMPLETE WORKFLOW STAYS BEHIND THE SWITCH
A Mode can control much more than one reply.
Activating a Mode enables the complete workflow behind it. One matching event can send a message, notify a person, call an API and update another system in a controlled sequence.
QUICK START
From workflow to one-tap Mode in three steps.
Build or generate the workflow
Start from scratch, use a template or describe the automation to the AI Workflow Assistant.
Test it, then add it to favorites
Run a safe simulation, review the result and favorite the workflows you want on your mobile home screen.
Activate it when you need it
Use the app or dashboard switch. The same workflow and current state remain synchronized everywhere.
CONTROLLED AUTOMATION
Fast control without losing visibility.
A Mode does not bypass your workflow safeguards. Conditions, schedules, execution logs, retries and credit rules continue to apply exactly as configured.
No hidden copy
A favorite is a shortcut to the original workflow, not a separate automation.
Clear state
Active and paused states are visible before you change them.
Execution history
Workflow logs explain which events matched, were skipped, completed or failed.
Safe changes
Pause a Mode before editing, simulate the result and reactivate it when ready.
WORKFLOW MODE FAQ
Everything you need to know before creating a Mode.
Is a Mode different from a workflow?+

Can I create my own Modes?+
Yes. Car, Focus and Family are only examples. You can create any Mode supported by your available events, conditions and actions.
Can a Mode activate several actions?+
