The biggest improvements are not only visible in the interface. Version 6.0 fundamentally changes how important SMS and call events are detected, processed and communicated.
The application mainly focused on processing and sending the SMS requested by your SMSMobileAPI account or API.
SMS sending has been redesigned for better reliability. In addition to processing messages, a persistent system notification can remain visible on your mobile device. This gives you a clear visual indication that SMSMobileAPI is operating, including while the application is running in the background.
Incoming SMS messages could require waiting for a scheduled processing cycle before they became available to SMSMobileAPI rules and connected services.
Incoming SMS detection is now immediate. As soon as an SMS is received on your mobile device, SMSMobileAPI can capture it and make it available for processing without waiting for the previous fixed synchronization interval.
Incoming call information could sometimes require several minutes to reach SMSMobileAPI, especially while the application was operating in the background.
Incoming call processing is designed to be immediate. Call events can now be captured much faster, including while SMSMobileAPI is operating in the background.
Outgoing call detection could depend on delayed background processing.
Outgoing calls are now designed to be handled immediately. Your connected systems can receive call information much closer to the moment the event actually happens.
Missed calls could require several minutes before becoming available to your SMSMobileAPI account or automation.
Missed call detection is designed to be immediate. Your workflows can react much faster to missed calls, including while SMSMobileAPI operates in the background.
Connected phones mainly operated as individual mobile gateways linked to the same SMSMobileAPI account.
Managing several mobile devices linked to the same account is now more powerful. You can interact more efficiently with the phones forming your SMS gateway, including sending an internal notification directly to another connected device from the SMSMobileAPI mobile application.
The previous interface evolved progressively as new functionality was added over the years.
