Privacy and data control

SMSMobileAPI is designed so customers remain in control of their connected devices, numbers and communication data. Data is processed only to provide, secure and improve the service.

Information processed

Account details, technical connection data and communication records may be processed when required by the features a customer enables. Customers are responsible for having a lawful basis for the messages and records they process.

Website audience measurement

SMSMobileAPI uses a strictly limited private first-party measurement system to understand page visits, anonymous new and returning visitors, traffic sources, campaigns, device categories and approximate city or country. This internal measurement operates independently of the optional Google services and is used exclusively by SMSMobileAPI to produce site audience and performance statistics. It does not record form contents, contact details, message contents, query strings or raw IP addresses, and its data is not shared with third parties or combined with other services. Geographic lookup happens locally on the SMSMobileAPI server and the request IP is discarded before the visit is stored. Raw page-view records are retained for up to 400 days and the browser audience identifier expires after thirteen months without automatic renewal.

Security and retention

Traffic is encrypted in transit and access is restricted. Retention depends on the service function and legal requirements. Contact the team for a data request.
