A mobile-first gateway separates business logic from the device that performs the final network action. Your application creates a message through an API, the platform routes it to an available connected phone, and the mobile app sends it using its own SIM.
Start with a clear event flow
Keep sending, delivery, inbound messages and call events as separate events. Store the message identifier returned by the API so your system can correlate later status updates.
Design for device availability
A multi-device setup should define whether a message needs a specific phone or can use the first available gateway. Monitoring and useful alerts are more important than raw device count.
